After-school enrichment classes offer a new animal-related topic each week. Students learn how veterinarians interact with their patients and how they use their science, math, and observational skills to keep pets healthy. Topics cover all aspects of veterinary medicine, including basic pet care needs, animal behavior, safe animal interactions, tools that vets use to diagnose diseases, how organ systems work, what happens in each part of a veterinary hospital, and much more. Scientific models, demonstrations, and live animal guests make for a rich, hands-on experience that brings science to life for future vets and animal lovers!
6-8 week sessions are offered during fall, winter, and spring trimesters at selected campuses in Santa Rosa.
